With its long experience in on-board navigation systems, Clarion is launching a new DVD solution using NAVTEQ digital map data. The Clarion NAX943DV combines simplicity and functionality to create a powerful solution that connects easily to a wireless display or multimedia workstation, and offers a clear interface that can be adjusted to user preferences. The 2D and 3D displays illustrate the geography and features along the driver’s route. The product uses Navteq data to enable powerful, high-precision guidance and is enabled with RDS-TMC traffic codes for the integration of real-time traffic information.

Clarion has chosen to supply the product with a DVD-ROM which include NAVTEQ maps of 21 European countries: Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the Vatican.
