Any destination, wherever it may be in Europe, is calculated in less than 3 seconds! Needless to say, once navigation has begun, the speed of calculating changes or diversions ensure you will no longer have to wait for possible new routes to be calculated whilst driving. And since it’s a hideaway unit that’s only 28 mm thick, you can mount it under a seat or wherever it will fit in the car and connect it to your AV system display.

Safe driving with voice control function

The voice control function uses a high-performance speech recognition engine to provide control by natural speech, much like a conversation. Various controls are just a few words away, without having to let go of the steering wheel. What’s more, speech synthesis produces voiced messages. The dialogue type answer back system helps minimise key operations and visual confirmation requirements for on-screen images, contributing to safer driving, unlike most navigation systems available today in the market.

Advanced HMI using touch panel and 3D menu

Exclusively designed for the new VRX868RVD & MAX668RVD, smart touch panel control and innovative interface means easy and intuitive operation even of advanced features. The unique “My List” option on the 3D menu uses a 3D graphic engine to enable you to create a “Favourite” or “Frequent” list with your own destinations to further simplify navigation operation.

High-capacity hard disk drive and high-speed processing

The SH-Navi1 LSI chip provides rapid route calculation, and together with the high-speed graphics rendering IC, it assures highly accurate and comfortable car navigation. The system supports Windows Automotive 5.0 for upgradeability, and is able to handle full map data thanks to the high capacity of the hard disk drive.

Manage your own data base with "My List": Finding your destination gets easier and easier

Clarion car navigation lets you find destinations more quickly with a “Favourite” list that lets you store up to 16 of your favourite locations, and a “Frequent” list that automatically shows the top 16 locations you travel to most frequently. By eliminating redundant steps, these convenient features help you choose your destination more quickly and easily.

Views

Any confusion when approaching intersections now becomes a thing of the past. This system can display normal 2D view maps, 3D view maps, or both at the same time. Plus there’s a detailed accurate “crossing zoom” view for navigating roundabouts, intersections, etc. The latter is automatically displayed by the system, and can also be selected manually by pressing a key.
