'LOAD RAGE' HITS SUMMER

Clarion unveils arsenal to quell back-seat mayhem

The arrival of the school summer holiday brings with it the annual peak in ‘load rage' - a full complement of bored children creating havoc in the back seats whilst frazzled parents pull their hair out at the front.
Fortunately, its also the time of year when in-car entertainment giant Clarion unleashes its product armoury to regain control of even the most unruly situation.

The 'multi-media' peace-keeping force

Forget cards games, counting legs on pub signs and eye-spy, the savvy-est, quickest way to restore peace and tranquillity in the back is to serve up a menu of favourite DVD cartoons, movie mayhem and blockbuster adventures.
Clarion was one of the first to introduce ‘multi-media‘ to the car, meshing together information, communications and entertainment to deliver ‘infotainment' for the whole family to enjoy.
And because not everyone wants to be entertained in the same way, Clarion provides the mastery to divide the car up into sections. So, whilst those in the back can be riveted by the latest DVD - through head phones if required - up-front, harangued parents can be soothed by the sounds of the radio station or CD of their choice.

Clarion's latest range - released in time for the summer break - is headed up by the family- inspired VRX928RVD multimedia centre. This hugely powerful, 4x50 watt package includes a DVD player, 3-band RDS stereo radio, a built-in 7" fully motorised flip-up touch screen colour monitor, inputs for attaching the latest digital audio tuner, CD autochanger and even a TV Tuner, plus unique Dolby Digital surround sound that brings a cinema-like experience to the car.
Despite its array of features, this mighty peace-keeping force fits neatly in place of the standard audio system in the dashboard, and there's a comprehensive arsenal of additional loudspeakers and add-on colour screens for mounting in seat headrests, and up high on the roof lining.
And the price of peace? The Clarion VRX928RVD is one of a range of Clarion multi-media systems, starting at a typical selling price of £899.
